Statement of Faith

We believe in the eternal existence of one God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who for our salvation: left the glory of Heaven; was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit; lived a sinless life; died as our substitute upon the cross for the appeasement of our sins; raised in the body; ascended into heaven and will come again in the power of His Father to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, sent from the Father and the Son, to regenerate and sanctify the people of the Lord, to make them holy and equip them with the gifts essential for their service in the church.

We believe that the Bible is the divine, infallible and inspired Word of God and that it is our only authority and guide in all matters of faith and Christian living.

We believe in the total depravity of the heart of man, the justifying of the elect by faith alone in Christ for salvation; the need for continuous repentance and prayer for perseverance.

We believe in the everlasting happiness of those saved in Christ and eternal punishment of the lost.

We believe in the dedication of children belonging to Christian parents, the ordinance of baptism, the celebration of the 'Lord's Supper' , the necessity of co-operating in all church activity.

We believe that Christ is the supreme Head of His body, the Church, in which every believer is equipped by God through the Holy Spirit for a specific function. We believe the Church is called to glorify God in worship, preach the gospel throughout the world and build itself up in love.

We believe in scripturalness of the pastoral office and the duty of all members to support it. ( Heb 13 : 17; 1 Cor 9 : 14; )

Having been brought by God's grace through faith into a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ and being led by the Holy Spirit, we covenant with one another by God's grace and strength.
