Orrell Park Regeneration Group

This is a local community group formed in 1988 who have worked very hard to improve the community spirit within the area. They have done this by working together and with organisations like the city council, local police and community support officers. They have cleaned up the environment and helped to resolve parking problems around the schools. They also adopted Orrell Park railway station and have planted spring bulbs and bedding plants to improve the appearance of the station.

OPBC have been very happy to support this group practically by lending a hand with some of their planting projects, by allowing them to use our facilities for their meetings and we have also organised and participated in community events, for example summer pops, the children's centenary party and outdoor Carol Services.

If you would like any further information on the work of this group please contact the Church office and we will pass the message on to them.
