But, read on for a simple outline message of how to become a Christian.
In the beginning life was complete. Man was in a right relationship with God.

Man --------------- God

God and man walked and talked together.

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16 verse 11

But life now is different. Life is not complete. Man is out of contact with God.

Man Our Sin God
'Your iniquities have separated you from God; your sins have hidden his face from you.' Isaiah 59 verse 2

Sometimes we try to our own ideas to make contact with God again. We build many types of bridges.

Man religion/prayer/good works God

'If only I knew where to find him; If only I could go to his dwelling.' Job 23 verse 3

The only answer to our need is in Jesus Christ – God's Son. He is the only way to the Father.

Man Jesus Christ God
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3 verse 16

There are two ways to live. We can continue to live our way and be out of contact with God or we can accept God's way – through the death of his Son Jesus on the cross and be in a right relationship with him again.

Without
Jesus
HELL
At that time you were separate from Christ, … without hope and without God in the world.
Ephesians 2 verse 12
With
Jesus
HEAVEN
But now in Christ Jesus you who were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2 verse 13

We must each personally respond to Him, affirm our trust and obedience to Him - or reject Him.

Salvation is free to you, but it cost God everything. Following Jesus is the tough option. We die to self and give our lives over to Him. Following Him costs us everything. Will you personally trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord?

Here is a prayer by which you can affirm your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, right now.

'Dear God, I admit I have sinned against you and broken our relationship. I am willing to turn away from my sin and live a new life, restored in my relationship with you. I realise I can only know you personally by trusting Jesus Christ to be my Saviour and Lord. Here and now I accept His death on the cross in my place. I am sorry for my sins. Affirm my trust in Jesus and my desire to follow him only. Amen.'
